Keep in mind when writing your cover letter that it should be concise, well structured and without any errors.<br />

Content of your cover letter</h3>
The cover letter is usually divided into three half-page paragraphs.<br />
The first paragraph should include a description of the position you are applying for. You should also mention where you learned about this position.<br />

Try to be as specific as possible. Underline experience and knowledge which are closely related to the given position and the qualities crucial for performance in this position (e.g. decisiveness by managers, communication skills by PR).<br />
<br />
Try to include sentences which show your effort to find information about the company in the motivational letter.<br />
<br />
In the third paragraph, express your wish to complete the necessary information at a personal interview, then add your closing and accompany your printed signature with a handwritten one.<br />
If you are sending your CV by e-mail, insert the cover letter into the text of the e-mail. International students planning to study Hospitality Management in Switzerland should have a look on the following points:<br />
<br />
Hospitality and Tourism Schools in Switzerland are much diversified. Here you can find world best hospitality institutions and very bad quality schools with no official accreditation for their given diplomas.<br />
That’s why, you must and we recommend you to verify the recognition the hospitality Management schools have. Hospitality Schools can be recognized by the Swiss authorities through the Universities of Applied Sciences system (for example Lausanne Hotel school) or through State recognized Universities abroad Switzerland (for example <a href="http://www.bhms.ch/" target="_blank" title="BHMS Hotel school">BHMS-Switzerland/RGU-UK</a>), some other private hospitality schools in Switzerland are accredited by NEASC (New England Association of Schools and Colleges).<br />
<br />
Some Hospitality Schools are member in Swiss Hotel schools Association [ASEH] but the largest number of Swiss Hospitality schools are not member and not even thinking to be member since ASEH is trying to show that only their schools are good and the rest are bad, but actually it not true and they try not to make fair rating, best Swiss Hospitality schools are not member or better to say, they were member but left this association. <br />
<br />
International students should visit the Hospitality school website and read about the school recognition and be sure that they have a real recognition not just fake cheap memberships, many membership can be bought for 100 Euro per year, and this membership give to the school no Credibility, to see the full list of Swiss hotel school please follow the link:<br />

<strong>JOBS PROSPECTS FOR HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT GRADUATES<br /> FUELED BY BUILDING BOOM IN ASIA</strong></h3>
Students and prospective graduates from hospitality colleges have excellent chances to find satisfying careers in the hospitality or tourism industry.<br />
<span style="line-height: 1.3em;">This confidence is based on the trends of an un-abating building boom of hotels and resorts in tourism and business destinations in Asia. These will serve an ever-growing multitude of business travelers and a well-to-do population in industrialized countries, which can afford regular foreign holidays. These trends are supported also by full order books for the airlines manufacturing industry that produce larger and more fuel-efficient aircraft, which in turn make travel to destinations more inexpensive.</span><br />
<span style="line-height: 1.3em;">Within the next two years, more than 40000 new branded hotel rooms in 200 hotels, built by GHM, Swissotels, Mandarin Oriental, Mövenpick, Shangri-La, Traders, Radisson, Country Inns & Suites, Park Plaza, Regent, Marriott, Hyatt and Starwood Hotels, are coming on stream. It is estimated, that these new businesses require as many as 80000 employees. Further, many entrepreneurs will open businesses that compliment these hotels and local leisure and tourism industry and that in turn further increases the need for qualified staff. Also, many baby boomers that staffed the management floors of the international hotels industry are coming up for retirement, leaving management vacancies for educated and well-trained graduates. </span><br />
<span style="line-height: 1.3em;">How can a prospective student or graduate prepare her/himself to obtain one of these jobs?</span><br />
<span style="line-height: 1.3em;">Send your resume to as many hotel companies as possible – maybe you have the know-how they are looking for. Further, apply at the job placement office of your school - there they coach prospective graduates how to handle telephone interviews, help prepare a video resume and ensure that students are ready to apply for a job in a well-prepared manner. </span><br />
<span style="line-height: 1.3em;">Alternatively, for students wanting to avail of fees based job prospecting, there are many reputable employment agencies for jobs in regional or specialized hospitality markets. These agencies also help in preparing the extensive documentation as well as assistance with visa applications. Some of these entities specialize in time limited international internship positions and they select each year a number of graduates in specific countries. </span><br />
<span style="line-height: 1.3em;">Lastly, we recommend that prospective job seekers apply for their first job as early as possible, this to avoid a waiting period after their graduation.</span><br />

<h4 style="text-align: center;">
<span style="font-size: small;"><strong>How International students in Switzerland profit</strong></span><br /><span style="font-size: small;"> <strong>from SWISS paid training</strong></span></h4>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a class="btn btn-success" href="http://www.bhms.ch/">APPLY NOW</a></div>
<span style="color: green;"><strong>BHMS Swiss Hotel Schools</strong></span> is pleased to announce that the Supervisory Commission of the Swiss Association of Swiss Hospitality Industry has allowed BHMS to offer its students paid supervised Swiss Industry Training in the Swiss Hospitality industry for six months in each school year.<br />
Swiss Industry Training is mainly about the development of students and it will be instrumental for their success in their early careers. Students do well not to solely look at the salary offer, but should concentrate equally on other benefits the internship offers.<br />
<img alt="How International students in Switzerland profit" height="337" src="http://www.universitieshandbook.com/images/How-do-International-students-in-Switzerland-profit.png" style="display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; vertical-align: middle;" width="431" /><br />
<h4>
1. Hands-on working experience</h4>
Allows a student to learn how to interact and to communicate effectively with customers and fellow employees in a live working environment.<br />
<h4>
2. Learn to execute orders</h4>
By learning to understand and execute orders(and being corrected if they are not done as expected) students learn how to interact with their supervisors and learn how to effectively give orders to their staff when they have advanced to their first supervisory job.<br />
<h4>
3. Find out their limits</h4>
Working intensive, having to concentrate on the job at hand and still being able to smile has to be learnt. After some initial struggles to do this, students are surprised on how resilient they are and how to smile under adverse conditions becomes second nature.<br />
<h4>
4. Build their CV</h4>
Over the typical tree years up to graduation with a bachelor degree in Hotel & Hospitality Management, students will have accumulated three internships, hopefully in different departments and in three different hospitality businesses in Switzerland. This will have given them an insight on how businesses or departments are run, they will have experienced diverse management styles and will have gained substantial product knowledge and business ideas, an aspect employers’ value greatly.<br />
<h4>
5. Earn an income</h4>
Last but not least, students earn each month a gross salary of CHF 2,168. From this salary they will have to pay for accommodation (normally provided by the employer) board, taxes and other deductions. The average net income each month is from CHF 1,200 to CHF 1,400. In some positions students also have the opportunity to earn tips.<br />

<em><strong><span style="font-size: small;">Accredited or Non-Accredited </span></strong></em><br />>>> <span style="text-decoration: underline;">The Importance of Accreditation</span> <<<<br />" That is the Question "<br /> <span style="font-size: 10pt;">By Habib Al Souleiman</span></div>
Each year, millions of people are asking the same question "WHAT AFTER A HIGH SCHOOL?", I remember 7 years ago when I finished my High School, I didn’t know what I would do next...<br />
<span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong><span style="font-size: small;">“What are the downsides of Non-Accredited”???</span></strong></span><br />
The first time I heard the words non-accredited was 7 years ago. I didn’t understand what it meant – until much later and when it was nearly too late! When it dawned on me finally what "Non-Accredited" meant, I had actually already signed-up at such a school. You may ask why? I did this because it was very easy to register (some of my marks were not too good), relatively cheap and of relatively short duration. But the main reason why I signed-up was, because of the slick school official that "sold" me the program - he was a very convincing sales man indeed. Only by chance, I met an alumni of the school one week before commencement, who told me his story and what non–accredited meant to him then and what pains he was suffering because of this. <br /> <br /> In short, if you study at a non-accredited school or "university", you might not be able to:<br />
<ul>
<li>find a good job (because they do not recognize your degree)</li>
<li>continue your studies at a reputable university (see comment above)</li>
<li>you may have difficulties to find work in other countries (see comment above) </li>
</ul>
In addition, you may suffer ridicule from your working colleagues and friends and in some countries you may even contravene the law if you use a university title that is not genuine. On the really bad side - you may achieve a leading management position and then the word gets out about your education – just read the newspapers on how many top managers had to resign last year because of such matters. Also think of the money and years you may have wasted in pursuing a non–accredited degree - that will not help you in the future.<br /> <br /> Needless to say – I managed to get out of my contract with he help of a lawyer and a kind newspaper man who published a story about the school. And, I have just completed my study – needless to say - at a good and accredited university.<br /> <br /> Take my advice and read the information below – you won't regret it! <br /> <br /> Steps to follow when looking for a higher education:<br />
<ul>
<li>First, you should know what you want to be, Doctor, Lawyer, Manager…</li>
<li>After you have decided that, think in which filed you want to be, </li>
<li>Then comes the most difficult question, where to study?</li>
</ul>
It’s not enough to choose the right country, even in highly ranked countries like Switzerland, UK and USA you can find non-accredited Universities.<br /> <br /> <em><strong>And - if you want more details about the above read on……..</strong></em><br />
<span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong><span style="font-size: small;">“Accredited or Non-Accredited Degree?”</span></strong></span><br />
Benefits to students and graduates pursuing an accredited education<br /> <br /> By enrolling in an externally accredited institution, as opposed to others that are not equally certified, or worse only self-certified, students can feel confident that they are being properly prepared for the business world of the twenty-first century. Equally important is the fact that students studying in an accredited institution are eligible for transfer considerations to other equivalently accredited Universities and Colleges. <br /> <br /> Further, when applying for government or large company employment, graduates from non-accredited institutions may be excluded from the application process. To make maters worse, when applying for immigration or working permission consideration to certain countries, the educational credits from unaccredited institution may not be counted, thus loosing important points needed to qualify for emigration or working permission in that country.<br />
<span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong><span style="font-size: small;">Why you should only study an accredited Bachelor, Master or MBA degree?</span></strong></span><br />
Accreditation is an external status granted to an educational institution or program that has been found to meet or exceed stated standards of educational quality. <br /> <br /> It is awarded based on an intensive multi-year process, both of internal self-study by faculty, administration and associated stakeholders on the one side; and students, alumni and industry stakeholders on the other. In this study, the institution must demonstrate continuous improvements in learning outcomes over minimum three or more years and it is culminated by a rigorous and extensive external peer-review process and audit by business stakeholders and experts from higher education. The entire process is designed to measure and validate the quality of the educational program the learning experience- and learning outcomes offered to students. <br /> <br /> There’s a lot of literature available online about higher education accreditation standards and students do well to read as much as possible about these before undertaking their studies. This to ensure, that they are not falling into the trap of a degree mill. <br /> <br /> Prospective students are cautioned, that degree mills often spin a web of deceit, making the appearance of being “internationally accredited” by fellow institutions, that after some diligent research in the net turn out to be owned by the same organization. Or, are “accredited” by dubious privately owned accreditation organizations, that front groups of unaccredited schools, designed to make the appearance of being accreditation-granting bodies. Be warned, many of these schools are woefully underfinanced, offer only no-refund contracts to their students, making it near impossible for students to recover already paid fees when they realize that they have been falling prey to a degree mill. <br /> <br /> Signs that indicate a degree mill are often born out by the fact that they are lacking typical campus facilities like libraries, dedicated teaching laboratories and other services expected from a school. They are often located in business- or trade centre sharing facilities with other businesses, or in office buildings were they rent just a few rooms, or for hotel schools, are located in small run-down hotels, often also in remote locations. Many times they are “Mamma and Papa” outfits, lacking a proper management set-up, have only a minimum of (often unskilled) administrative staff and part-time “faculty” with dubious academic qualifications from even more dubious or even unknown institutions. To this has to be said: A good school will be proud to give information of the quality and valid qualifications of their faculty; and that includes that they have relevant degrees, in relation of what they teach and they publish the name of the university from which they obtained their qualifications. Beware also of schools that have faculty that sport “industry only” experience, without accredited complimentary academic credentials. <br /> <br /> To help prospective students wanting to study for in a school that offers a British or US degree we list below some key information that will ensure that “bad surprises” are kept to a minimum.<br />
<span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong><span style="font-size: small;">Regional Accreditation in the USA</span></strong></span><br />
Regional accreditation means that an institution has been accredited by an agency that is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). In short, make sure that the institution offering a BA, Master or MBA program is accredited by one of the following six regional accreditation agencies:<br />
<ul>
<li>MSA: Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Higher Education</li>
<li>NASC: Northwest Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities Commission on Colleges and Universities</li>
<li>NCA: North Central Association of Schools and Colleges, The Higher Learning Commission</li>
<li>NEASC: New England Association of Schools and Colleges Commission on Institutions of Higher Education</li>
<li>SACS: Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges</li>
<li>WASC: Western Association of Schools and Colleges Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities</li>
</ul>
Professional Accreditation USA<br /> <br /> In addition to regional accreditation, there are three professional accrediting bodies:<br />
<ul>
<li>The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) at <a href="http://www.aacsb.edu/">www.aacsb.edu</a></li>
<li>The International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE) at <a href="http://www.iacbe.org/">www.iacbe.org</a></li>
<li>The Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) at <a href="http://acbsp.org/">http://acbsp.org</a></li>
</ul>
A word of caution: Beware, that a number of private schools located in countries outside the USA and holding or IACBE and ACBSP accreditation are awarding degrees. However such degrees may not be recognized in these countries because that country has not granted “National” accreditation to that school. As a matter of fact, these schools take advantage of a legal grey zone and have circumvented the need to obtain “National” accreditation in that country. They are in this way creating the dishonest appearance to students that they are accredited. Consequently, degrees awarded by these schools are not recognized, nor accepted by those countries and the use of the awards like BA, MSc and MBA may be illegal and punishable by law. As a consequence, these awards may also not be accepted by some governments, large companies and may be ineligible for points under emigration requirements. <br /> <br /> However, if a regionally accredited US university gives and awards their US degree in a private school in a foreign country, the degree (at least in continental Europe) is considered valid and the award may be used.<br />
<span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong><span style="font-size: small;">Membership vs. Accreditation</span></strong></span><br />
Don’t confuse the term “Membership” with accreditation status. An institution can say they that are a “member” of AACSB, IACBE and/or ACBSP and not be accredited by any of these professional accrediting bodies. The AACSB, IACBE and ACBSP list both accredited and members-only institutions accordingly on their websites.<br />
<span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong><span style="font-size: small;">Accreditation of Universities and Higher Educational Institutions in the UK</span></strong></span><br />
Bona fide universities in the UK are created in the following ways:-<br />
<ul>
<li>By Royal Charter – on the Recommendation of the Privy Council</li>
<li>By an Act of Parliament – on the recommendation of the Privy Council</li>
<li>By Registration as a Company Limited by Guarantee – which is approved by the Privy Council </li>
<li>By Registration as a Private or Public Limited Company with Share Capital – which is approved by the Privy Council </li>
</ul>
<span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong><span style="font-size: small;">Other Publicly Funded Educational Institutions and Listed Bodies</span></strong></span><br />
There are many other publicly funded higher educational colleges and institutions that are regulated by the Privy Council. They may not have degree awarding powers, but they can establish a partnership arrangement with a UK university to deliver courses that will lead to degree(s) awarded by the partner UK university. These institutions that have partnership arrangements with university degree awards are known as LISTED BODIES. Listed Bodies status is not restricted to publicly funded institutions. Private colleges that have degree awarding arrangements with UK degree awarding institutions are also classified as a LISTED BODIES.<br /> <br /> In closing, before students sign-up at any school they should research their choice thoroughly. Ask to talk to existing students and alumni at their working place and ask if the diploma/degree is granted by national government, or the above mentioned accreditation agencies. <br /> Alas, even with all the above information easily available, many students still get caught every year in the webs that fraudulent schools are spinning. The caution of “Buyer Beware” cannot be told enough to prospective students.<br />

<b><span style="font-size: medium;">New Swiss Hotel School Player Climbs Ranking
Ladder</span></b><br />
<span style="font-size: x-small;">By Habib Souleiman, Bachelor of Arts in Hotel Management</span></div>
<div align="center">
<u>Are you planning to study Business-BBA/MBA, Hospitality
management, Hotel, Tourism or a mix of one or more of these fields in Europe?</u></div>
<u><b>Here is my story:</b></u><br />
During my last year of my secondary education in the Middle East, my family
asked me, what my plans were for my future career. As I was unsure what I could
do and did not want to join the ranks of the unemployed after completing my
education, I went to the career advisor of my school to get some sound advice.
She informed me of careers in the various sectors of the economy. I was not
interested in manufacturing, or primary sector jobs and I finally decided to
make my career in the services industry, after finding out that more than 50% of
the Fortune 500 companies were in that part of the economy. I am an outgoing
person, enjoying interactions with people from many walks of life. I know I
would not be happy to work cooped-up in an office all day, so I settled on the
hotel and tourism industry. My plan was to work after graduation in one of the
local 5 star hotels, hoping to be transferred after a time, within the hotel
company into the various exotic locations were they have hotels.<br />
<br />
I formed my decision after talking to the daughter of a friend, who came back
home three years ago after her studies abroad in Switzerland. She told me, that
after she had completed her education with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Hotel
Management, she managed to get a management internship through the placement
office of the Swiss school. She works now as a manager for one the prime hotel
companies in town, training front of the house staff in their hotels all over
Asia.<br />
<br />
From her I found out, that when she planned her studies, she was faced with
an overwhelming choice of offers for education in many countries. In the end she
choose Switzerland, because she felt that she would get the most comprehensive
education there, had the ability to learn French and she found in her research a
number of Swiss Alumni working as managers in hotels in her home town.<br />
<br />
Obviously things have changed since her graduation and for others wanting to
pursue this education I have added my school selection criteria and the research
that led me to make my choice where to study.<br />
My criteria were:<br />
<ul>
<li>A good education at the most reasonable price</li>
<li>The shortest path to a degree</li>
<li>An accredited degree</li>
<li>City location</li>
<li>Possibility of foreign work experience </li>
<li>Paid industry training (I need this to partly finance my education)</li>
<li>Placement guarantee by the school into an industry training </li>
<li>Ability to learn German</li>
<li>Good ranking (this was difficult because in some countries this is not
available)</li>
<li>Successful Alumni</li>
</ul>
Today (31.10.2011) I was surprised to learn, that my school ranks first in
AMAZON.com (Alexa), the world's largest Web Services Company, among students
looking to study in a Swiss Hotel and Tourism School. Of course, I am not
surprised about this, because for me “value for money” a short study time” and
“accredited degree” was the main criteria for me to choose a school. It is good
to know, that other prospective students have the same emphasis.<br />
For the record, I have listed the schools in order of popularity.<br />
<br />
Top 10 Hotel Schools in Switzerland are:<br />
1.<b> </b><a href="http://www.bhms.ch/"><b>
Business & Hotel Management School</b></a><br />
2. Glion Institute of Higher Education<br />
3. Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL-Lausanne Hotel School)<br />
4. César Ritz Colleges Switzerland - Hotel School<br />
5. Les Roches International School of Hotel Management<br />
6. International Hotel Management Institute (IMI University Centre Switzerland)<br />
7. Swiss Hotel Management School (SHMS-Switzerland)<br />
8. HIM - Hotel Institute Montreux<br />
9. Les Roches-Gruyère University of Applied Sciences (in Clarens, Bulle and
Bluche)<br />
10. IHTTI-Neuchatel School of hotel management - Hospitality – Tourism (Member
of ASEH)<br />
<br />
Of course, there are lots of other places to study and many prospective
students have other criteria for their choice of education or place to study
than mine. For these people I include a link, were one can find some more
schools:
<a href="http://www.universitieshandbook.com/directory/hotel-management">Swiss

Switzerland</a>.<br />
<br />
I am writing this article from my desk here in Switzerland, having
successfully graduated a short while ago and working now in my first management
position with good prospects for further promotion. You may ask, were did he
study in the end and did he reach is goal? Well for me the criteria listed above
led me to my school and the name of it is <a href="http://www.bhms.ch/">BHMS
Business and Hotel management school</a> located in the tourism capital of
Switzerland the City of Lucerne. I am very proud for my school to be topping the
AMAZON ranking list.<br />
<br />

The Master of Business Administration (MBA or M.B.A.) is a master's degree in
business administration, which attracts people from a wide range of academic
disciplines. The MBA designation originated in the United States, emerging from
the late 19th century as the country industrialized and companies sought out
scientific approaches to management. The core courses in the MBA program are
designed to introduce students to the various areas of business such as
accounting, finance, marketing, human resources, operations management, etc.
Students in MBA programs have the option of taking general business courses
throughout the program or can select an area of concentration and focus
approximately one-fourth of their studies in this subject.<br />
Accreditation bodies exist specifically for MBA programs to ensure consistency
and quality of graduate business education. Business schools in many countries
offer MBA programs tailored to full-time, part-time, executive, and distance
learning students, with specialized concentrations.<br />
<br />
<b><span style="font-size: medium;">History<br />
</span></b><br />
The first graduate school of business in the United States was the Tuck School
of Business, part of Dartmouth College Founded in 1900, it was the first
institution conferring advanced degrees (masters) in the commercial sciences,
specifically, a Master of Science in Commerce degree, the forebear of the modern
MBA degree.<br />
<br />
In 1908, the Graduate School of Business Administration (GSBA) at Harvard
University was established; it offered the world's first MBA program, with a
faculty of 15 plus 33 regular students and 47 special students. There are M7
peer recognition for top MBAs.<br />
<br />
The University of Chicago Booth School of Business first offered working
professionals the Executive MBA (EMBA) program in 1943, first available in
permanent campus in three continents (Chicago, London and Singapore) and this
type of program is offered by most business schools today.<br />
<br />
In 1946, Thunderbird School of Global Management was the first school to offer
an MBA program focused on global management.<br />
<br />
In 1950, the first MBA degrees awarded outside the United States were by The
University of Western Ontario in Canada, followed in 1951 with the degree
awarded by the University of Pretoria in South Africa. In 1957, INSEAD became
the first European business school to offer an MBA program. In 1986, the Roy E.
Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College (Florida) was the first
MBA program to require every student to have a laptop computer in the classroom.
Initially, professors wheeled a cart of laptops into the classroom.<br />
<br />
The MBA degree has been adopted by universities worldwide, and has been adopted
and adapted by both developed and developing countries<br />
<br />
<b>Basic types of MBA programs<br />
</b><br />
Two-year (Full Time) MBA programs normally take place over two academic years
(i.e. approximately 18 months of term time). For example in the Northern
Hemisphere beginning in late August/September of year one and continuing until
May of year two, with a three to four month summer break in between years one
and two. Students enter with a reasonable amount of prior real-world work
experience and take classes during weekdays like other university students.<br />
<br />
Accelerated MBA programs are a variation of the two year programs. They involve
a higher course load with more intense class and examination schedules. They
usually have less "down time" during the program and between semesters. For
example, there is no three to four month summer break, and between semesters
there might be seven to ten days off rather than three to five weeks vacation.<br />
<br />
Part-time MBA programs normally hold classes on weekday evenings, after normal
working hours, or on weekends. Part-time programs normally last three years or
more. The students in these programs typically consist of working professionals,
who take a light course load for a longer period of time until the graduation
requirements are met.<br />
<br />
Executive MBA (EMBA) programs developed to meet the educational needs of
managers and executives, allowing students to earn an MBA or another
business-related graduate degree in two years or less while working full time.
Participants come from every type and size of organization – profit, nonprofit,
government – representing a variety of industries. EMBA students typically have
a higher level of work experience, often 10 years or more, compared to other MBA
students. In response to the increasing number of EMBA programs offered, The
Executive MBA Council was formed in 1981 to advance executive education.<br />
<br />
Distance learning MBA programs hold classes off-campus. These programs can be
offered in a number of different formats: correspondence courses by postal mail
or email, non-interactive broadcast video, pre-recorded video, live
teleconference or videoconference, offline or online computer courses. Many
schools offer these programs.<br />
<br />
Dual MBA programs combine MBA degree with others (such as an MS, MA, or a J.D.,
etc.) to let students cut costs (dual programs usually cost less than pursuing 2
degrees separately), save time on education and to tailor the business education
courses to their needs. Some business schools offer programs in which students
can earn both a bachelor's degree in business administration and an MBA in four
or five years.<br />
<br />
<b>Admissions criteria<br />
</b><br />
Most programs base admission on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT),
significant work experience, academic transcripts, essays, references or letters
of recommendation and personal interviews. The Graduate Record Examination (GRE)
is also accepted by some schools in lieu of the GMAT. Some schools are also
interested in extracurricular activities, community service activities and how
the student can improve the diversity of and contribute to the student body as a
whole. All of these qualifications can be important for admission; however, some
schools do not weigh GMAT scores as heavily as other criteria. In order to
achieve a diverse class, business schools also consider the target male-female
ratio and local-international student ratios.<br />
<br />
Depending on the program, type and length of work experience can be a critical
admissions component for many MBA programs. Many top-tier programs require five
or more years of work experience for admission.<br />
<br />
<b>Program content<br />
</b><br />
Most top MBA programs cover similar subjects within their core required courses.
For information about the typical content of an MBA program's core curriculum,
see the overview at the Wikiversity MBA topic page. MBA programs expose students
to a variety of subjects, which students may choose to specialize in a
particular area. Students traditionally study a wide breadth of courses in the
program's first year, then pursue a specialized curriculum in the second year.
Full-time students typically seek an internship during the interim. Typical
specializations include: accounting, economics, entrepreneurship, finance,
international business, management science, marketing, operations management,
organizational behavior, project management, real estate, and strategy, among
others.<br />
<br />
<b>History of the MBA in Europe<br />
</b><br />
In 1957, INSEAD became the first European university offering the MBA degree,
followed in 1959 by ESADE, ICADE in 1960 (who had started offering in 1956 a
"Technical Seminary for Business Administration"), IESE (first two-year program
in Europe) in 1964, UCD Smurfit Business School in 1964, Manchester Business
School and London Business School in 1965, The University of Dublin (Trinity
College), the Rotterdam School of Management in 1966, the Cranfield School of
Management in 1967 and in 1969 by the HEC School of Management (in French, the
École des Hautes Études Commerciales) and the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de
Paris. In 1972, Swiss business school IMEDE (now IMD) began offering a full-time
MBA program, followed in 1974 by AGH University of Science and Technology in
Cracow, Poland. In 1991, IEDC-Bled School of Management became the first school
in the ex-socialist block of the Central and Eastern to offer an MBA degree.
Because of technology advances, distance or online MBA programs have recently
emerged in Europe. Several business schools in the United Kingdom now offer
distance MBA programs. In 2007, ESCEM became the first French Business school to
offer their own distance or online MBA.<br />
<br />
<b>Bologna Accord<br />
</b><br />
In Europe, the recent Bologna Accord established uniformity in three levels of
higher education: Bachelor (three years), Masters (one or two years in addition
to three or four years for a Bachelor), and Doctorate (an additional three or
four years after a Masters). Students can acquire professional experience after
their initial bachelor degree at any European institution and later complete
their masters in any other European institution via the European Credit Transfer
and Accumulation System.<br />
<br />
Accreditation<br />
Accreditation standards are not uniform in Europe. Some countries have legal
requirements for accreditation (e.g. most German states), in some there is a
legal requirement only for universities of a certain type (e.g. Austria), and
others have no accreditation law at all. Even where there is no legal
requirement, many business schools are accredited by independent bodies
voluntarily to ensure quality standards.<br />
<br />
Austria<br />
In Austria, MBA programs of private universities have to be accredited by the
Austrian Accreditation Council (Österreichischer Akkreditierungsrat). State-run
universities have no accreditation requirements, however, some of them
voluntarily undergo accreditation procedures by independent bodies. There are
also MBA programs of non-academic business schools, who are entitled by the
Austrian government to offer these programs until 2010 (Lehrgang universitären
Charakters). Some non-academic institutions cooperate with state-run
universities to ensure legality of their degrees.<br />
<br />
Czech Republic<br />
January 1998 saw the first meeting of the Association of the Czech MBA Schools (CAMBAS).
The Association is housed within the Centre for Doctoral and Managerial Studies
of UEP, Prague. All of the founding members of the Association have their MBA
programs accredited by partner institutions in the United Kingdom or United
States of America.<br />
<br />
Finland<br />
In Finland, as in most countries, MBA does not have the status of official
degree. MBA programs are run by various universities including the top
universities in the country.<br />
<br />
France and French speaking countries<br />
In France and in the Francophone countries such as Switzerland, Monaco, Belgium,
and Canada, the MBA degree programs at the public accredited schools are similar
to those offered in the Anglo-Saxon countries. Most French Business Schools are
accredited by the Conférence des Grandes Écoles, which is an association of
higher educational establishments outside the mainstream framework of the public
education system.<br />
<br />
Germany<br />
Germany was one of the last western countries to adopt the MBA degree. In 1998,
the Hochschulrahmengesetz (Higher Education Framework Act), a German federal law
regulating higher education including the types of degrees offered, was modified
to permit German universities to offer master's degrees. The traditional German
degree in business administration was the Diplom in Betriebswirtschaft (Diplom-Kaufmann;
Master's degree equivalent) but since 1999, bachelor's and master's degrees have
gradually replaced the traditional degrees (see Bologna process). Today most
German business schools offer the MBA. Most German states require that MBA
degrees have to be accredited by one of the six agencies officially recognized
by the German Akkreditierungsrat (accreditation council), the German counterpart
to the US-American CHEA. The busiest of these six agencies (in respect to MBA
degrees) is the Foundation for International Business Administration
Accreditation (FIBAA). All universities themselves have to be institutionally
accredited by the state (staatlich anerkannt).<br />
<br />
Italy<br />
Italian MBAs programs at public accredited schools are similar to those offered
elsewhere in Europe. Italian Business Schools are accredited by EQUIS and by
ASFOR.<br />
<br />
Poland<br />
There are several MBA programs offered in Poland. Some of these are run as
partnerships with American or Canadian Universities. For example, the CEMBA
program is run by the Warsaw School of Economics and the University of Quebec at
Montreal, Warsaw-Illinois Executive MBA (WIEMBA) run as partnership of
University of Warsaw and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Others like
the programs offered by the Institute of Economics of the Polish Academy of
Sciences (INE PAN) rely on their own faculty and enrich their courses by
inviting visiting lecturers. The CEMBA, WIEMBA and INE PAN programs as several
other programs in Poland, are offered also in English.<br />
<br />
Ukraine<br />
Recently MBA programs appeared in Ukraine where there are now about twenty
schools of business offering a variety of MBA programs. Three of these are
subsidiaries of European schools of business, while the remaining institutions
are independent. Ukrainian MBA programs are concentrated mainly on particulars
of business and management in Ukraine. For example, 2/3 of all case studies are
based on real conditions of Ukrainian companies.<br />
<br />
United Kingdom<br />
The UK based Association of MBAs (AMBA) was established in 1967 and is an active
advocate for MBA degrees. The Association's accreditation service is
internationally recognised for all MBA, DBA and Masters in Business and
Management (MBM) programs. AMBA also offer the only professional membership
association for MBA students and graduates. UK MBA programs typically consist of
a set number of taught courses plus a dissertation or project.<br />

<span class="mw-headline" id="MBA_program_rankings">MBA program rankings</span></h2>
<div class="rellink boilerplate seealso">
As MBA programs proliferated over time, differences in the quality of
schools, faculty, and course offerings became evident. As a means of
establishing criteria to assess quality among different MBA programs, a
variety of publications began compiling program information and ranking
quality. Different methods of varying validity were used. The Gourman
Report, which ran from 1967 until 1997, did not disclose criteria or ranking
methods, and these reports were criticized for reporting statistically
impossible data, such as no ties among schools, narrow gaps in scores with
no variation in gap widths, and ranks of nonexistent departments. In 1977
The Carter Report published rankings of MBA programs based on the number of
academic articles published by faculty. Also in 1977, the Ladd & Lipset
Survey relied on opinion surveys of business school faculty as the basis for
rankings, and MBA Magazine ranked schools based on votes cast by business
school deans.<br />
Most recently, well-known publications such as US News & World Report,
Business Week, Financial Times, The Economist, and the Wall Street Journal
publish rankings of selected MBA programs. Often a schools’ rank will vary
significantly across publications, as the methodology used to create the
ranks is different among each publication. The U.S. News & World Report
ranking incorporates responses from deans, program directors, and senior
faculty about the academic quality of their programs as well as the opinions
of hiring professionals. The ranking is calculated through a weighted
formula of quality assessment (40%), placement success (35%), and student
selectivity (25%). The BusinessWeek rankings are similarly based on student
surveys, a survey of corporate recruiters, and an intellectual capital
rating. The Financial Times incorporates criteria including survey responses
from alumni who graduated three years prior to the ranking and information
from business schools. Salary and employment statistics are weighted
heavily. Rankings by the Economist Intelligence Unit and published in The
Economist result from surveys administered to business schools (80%) and to
students and recent graduates (20%). Ranking criteria includes GMAT scores,
employment and salary statistics, class options, and student body
demographics. Although the Wall Street Journal stopped ranking full time MBA
programs in 2007, its ranking are based on skill and behavioral development
that should lend toward career success, such as social skills, teamwork
orientation, ethics, and analytic and problem-solving abilities.Other
rankings base methodologies on attributes other than standardized test
scores, salary of graduates, and recruiter opinions. The Beyond Grey
Pinstripes ranking, published by the Aspen Institute is based on the
integration of social and environmental stewardship into university
curriculum and faculty research. Rankings are calculated on the amount of
sustainability coursework made available to students (20%), amount of
student exposure to relevant material (25%), amount of coursework focused on
stewardship by for-profit corporations (30%), and relevant faculty research
(25%). The 2011 survey and ranking include data from 150 universities. The
QS Global 200 Business Schools Report compiles regional rankings of business
schools around the world. Ranks are calculated using a two year moving
average of points assigned by employers who hire MBA graduates. Since 2005,
the UT-Dallas Top 100 Business School Research Rankings ranks business
schools on the research faculty publish, not unlike The Carter Report of the
past.<br />
The ranking of MBA programs has been discussed in articles and on
academic Web sites. Critics of ranking methodologies maintain that any
published rankings should be viewed with caution for the following reasons:</div>
<ul>
<li>Rankings limit the population size to a small number of MBA programs and
ignore the majority of schools, many with excellent offerings.</li>
<li>The ranking methods may be subject to biases and statistically flawed
methodologies (especially for methods relying on subjective interviews of
hiring managers).</li>
<li>The same list of well-known schools appears in each ranking with some
variation in ranks, so a school ranked as number 1 in one list may be number
17 in another list.</li>
<li>Rankings tend to concentrate on the school itself, but some schools
offer MBA programs of different qualities (e.g. a school may use highly
reputable faculty to teach a daytime program, and use adjunct faculty in its
evening program).</li>
<li>A high rank in a national publication tends to become a
self-fulfilling prophecy.</li>
<li>Some leading business schools including Harvard,
INSEAD and
Wharton provide limited cooperation with certain ranking publications
due to their perception that rankings are misused.</li>
</ul>
One study found that objectively ranking MBA programs by a combination of
graduates' starting salaries and average student GMAT score can reasonably
duplicate the top 20 list of the national publications. The study concluded that
a truly objective ranking would be individualized to the needs of each
prospective student. National publications have recognized the value of rankings
against different criteria, and now offer lists ranked different ways: by
salary, GMAT score of students, selectivity, and so forth. Other publications
have produced “rankings of the rankings”, which coalesce and summarize the
findings of multiple independent rankings. While useful, these rankings have yet
to meet the critique that rankings are not tailored to individual needs, that
they use an incomplete population of schools, may fail to distinguish between
the different MBA program types offered by each school, or rely on subjective
interviews.<br />

<br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: large;"><b>Studium</b></span><br />
<br />
K MBA studiu jsou přijímání pouze uchazeči s minimálně bakalářským
vysokoškolským vzděláním a s dostatečnou, zejména manažerskou praxí. Studium MBA
EUR. MBA programy poskytují jak teoretické vzdělání v základních disciplínách
managementu, tak zvládnutí nezbytných praktických manažerských dovedností,
jakými jsou např. řešení problémů, rozhodování, jednání a komunikace.
<br />
<ul>
<li>Organizace a management</li>
<li>Projektové řízení</li>
<li>Strategické řízení</li>
<li>Marketingové řízení</li>
<li>Finanční management</li>
<li>Účetnictví a bilanční analýzy</li>
<li>Controlling</li>
<li>Řízení lidských zdrojů</li>
<li>Hospodářské právo</li>
<li>Informační systémy</li>
<li>Statisticko-matematické metody</li>
<li>Metody zkoumání</li>
<li>Komunikační trénink</li>
</ul>
Studium je zpravidla ukončeno obhajobou projektu popř. master's thesis.
Úspěšní absolventi tohoto programu získávají akademický titul MBA (uváděný za
jménem) a příslušný diplom popř. certifikát.<br />Swiss Hotel Management Schoolshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15264437701808939388noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4451250945118393214.post-17487449141500795482011-10-12T20:11:00.000-07:002011-10-12T20:11:22.000-07:00Master of Business Administration - Dansk<div style="text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
Uddannelsen sigter primært på at give erfarne eller potentielle ledere mulighed
for at udvide deres lederkompetencer, særligt med fokus på strategisk ledelse.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Derimod er uddannelsen stort set ukendt i Japan, hvilket bl.a. skyldes
bachelorstudium.<br />
<br />

<br />
administrativos.<br />
<br />
<ul>
</ul>

Master of Business Administration
<br />
<br />

Master of Business Administration (MBA) ja Executive MBA (EMBA) ovat täydennyskoulutusohjelmia, joiden suorittajilta edellytetään soveltuvaa, yleisimmin yliopistollista pohjakoulutusta sekä pitkähköä työkokemusta. MBA on tyypillisimmin täysipäiväinen ja EMBA on työn ohessa suoritettava koulutusohjelma.<br />

<br />
Ohjelmien sisältö ei ole varsinaisten yliopistotutkintojen tapaan
Opetusministeriön valvonnassa. Ohjelmien taso vaihtelee huomattavasti ja niiden
keskinäinen vertailu on vaikeaa. Arvostetuimpien ohjelmien laadun takeena on
niille myönnetyt, kansainvälisten ja riippumattomien arvioijien myöntämät
akkreditoinnit. Suomalaisille MBA-ohjelmille myönnettyjä kansainvälisiä
akkreditointeja ovat muun muuassa Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of
Business (AACSB), Association of MBAs (AMBA) sekä European Quality Improvement
System (EQUIS).<br />
<br />
Suomessa MBA -ohjelmia toteuttaa muun muassa Henley Business School, Aalto-yliopiston
Aalto University Executive Education Oy ja Hanken. Myös useat
ammattikorkeakoulut toteuttavat MBA-ohjelmia yhteistyössä ulkomaisten
korkeakoulujen kanssa.<br />
<br />
MBA ja EMBA -ohjelmat ovat suorittajalle maksullisia. Henleyn MBA-tutkinto
maksaa esimerkiksi 32 000 euroa, Aalto-yliopistossa 38 000 euroa (EMBA 51 000
euroa) ja Hankenissa 30 000 euroa. Vertailuna mainittakoon, että EMBA
ulkomaisessa huippuyliopistossa on huomattavasti kalliimpaa, esimerkiksi Lontoon
kauppakorkeakoulun ohjelmassa USD140 000<br />Swiss Hotel Management Schoolshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15264437701808939388noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4451250945118393214.post-83984503512426019672011-10-12T20:03:00.001-07:002011-10-12T20:03:48.673-07:00Master of Business Administration - Français<div style="text-align: center;">

management.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Swiss Hotel Management Schoolshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15264437701808939388noreply@blogger.com0
